What Do You Think Are The Common Myths On Workout?
Today every youngster or even elders feel they must go to the gym. Normally a person goes to the gym to exercise. More than a regime of physical exercise it has become a fashion. Young boys and girls feel they should develop muscles and the gym would help them to do so. How far do you think this is true? Are there any myths related to gym and physical exercise.
- Do you know that a person who works out may be able to reduce the overall body fat? However where the fat comes from cannot be controlled and hence this is a continuous process
- It is a false belief that one should not work out on an empty stomach. In fact the body has a tendency to burn out more fat when you work out at the gym before eating your breakfast,
- One has to listen to one’s body while doing any kind of exercise. It is wrongly believed that we have to use so much force to bend out body even if it’s painful to gain from the exercise regime. This is in fact wrong. It ok if there is a little discomfort but stop immediately if any sharp pain occurs anywhere in the body while exercising.
- When we stretch before exercise it loosens our tendons and muscles and it becomes less steady so it is not necessary to stretch before doing exercises.
- Do you know that carrying weight can actually burn out more calories?
- When one runs in the open ground we run usually against the wind and hence we need more energy and burn more calories. Nothing can replace that. Running on a treadmill though gives approx same effect it isn’t the same.
- Workout should not be an option. It has to be done on a daily basis for us to get results. Rest in the midst of the exercise will form a part of exercise and not an alternative to exercise.
- It’s a concept to say-“sweat it out”. The more you sweat while workout the more effective it is.
- It’s wrong to say that work out makes us hungry. In fact workout has the effect of decreasing the craving for food as per the latest research.
- It’s a wrong concept that one should not work out when you are sick. Actually as long as one feels ok and there is no fever one can still work out when unwell as well. Only thing is as said above one has to listen to the body and not overstrain.
Last but not the least No doubt walking daily is good for health. However one may also do running which has the same effect. But all said and done walking is better than running though the effect is the same.
