Navigation With Google Maps A Boon Of The Internet

Gone are the days when one has to look at the signs on the board which tells you how to navigate when travelling from one place to another. Also now one doesn’t have to depend on anyone to tell us how to go. Thanks to the Google maps which also needs the internet one can go anywhere round the globe just by logging into the Google maps which directs us how to go. .Events and festivals detailed by a driving map is such a boon to the visitors. At times where the internet connection is poor one can save the area you are from Google maps to your phone or tab to use when you are offline. If the connection is poor then Google maps uses the offline maps to show you the direction .Isn’t that interesting. Travel has become more easy and comfortable and less tense thanks to this technology.

I Remember of one of the car travels to Goa. The itinerary was just to go to Goa and back. The net gave us two options one to go via Bangalore and the other via Mangalore. We chose the one via Kannur and then Mangalore via the konkan coast. The option was one of the best one could take as we had an option to see various places enroute. The Google maps operated via the internet gave us the flexibility and opportunity to check out the historical places and site seeing places we go see while travelling enroute. Google maps have the option to use turn by turn voice routing which tells us how we should go. IT also tells us the shortest route to reach a particular place. Directions for driving walking, biking are available on Google maps. It may be noted here that when there are many routes to a particular place the best route to the place where we intended to go will be shown in blue. Other routes are grey on the map.

There are times when the information in the Google maps may have restricted accessibility .In such cases alone you may have to be aware of the surroundings and use the signals on the road or path when you want directions.

The Google maps provides an Arial 360 degrees panoramic of streets houses ,traffic conditions  ,how to travel by foot, by bus, by car, by train or any public transportation etc.
